Chapter 1[/u]
As the rain pounded on the ground I pulled my hood up on my hoodie. I walked along the road in my own world not knowing quite where I was going but I didn’t care I was in shock how could he do that to me. The rain started soaking through my hoodie and I could feel it on my skin and started shivering. I wandered into a park and sat down on a bench under a tree for a bit of shelter. I stared at the floor and watched the rain hitting the puddles. I glanced up at the sky but it showed no signs of clearing up at all so I stared back at the floor to stop the rain hitting my face. I tucked my hands in my pockets as the tears started to roll down my face and joined the rain on the floor. I sat there for a bit when someone sat next to me on the bench. I carried on staring at the floor, I knew it wasn’t him so I didn’t really care who sat there. “Are you ok?” said this Bolton accent. I didn’t reply I didn’t really want to talk to anyone let alone some stranger. “I saw you here and you look rather wet, you’ll catch a cold if you stay here,” he carried on talking. “Here,” he said and in the corner of my eye I saw him take off his jacket and place it ova my shoulders. “Thanks,” I mumbled. “No problem, you ok?” he asked again. “I’ll live,” I carried on mumbling not really wanting to talk. “Whats happened?” he asked. I didn’t reply thinking it was a bit weird if I told a stranger about it all. “You know it might help if you tell me, I mean you prob wont see me again so not like you will regret it,” he told me. I thought about it and he was right what sort of a chance would it be that I met him again. “My now ex boyfriend,” I mumbled again. “Oh,” he replied. “Yeh I caught him with someone else,” I told him still staring at the floor. “Well he must be one idiot to cheat on you,” he said. I don’t know how this guy did it but he made me smile slightly and then I seemed to just spill my heart out to him about everything. “Sorry,” I said when I realised Id been talking to him for at least an hour. “Its ok, you feel any better?” he asked. “Yeh a bit, thank you,” I said and still hadn’t taken my eyes off the floor. “Well I best be getting off now, so should you or you will get a cold,” he told me standing up. “Yeh thanks again,” I said. “No prob, see ya,” he said. I realised I still had his jacket on my shoulders, I looked up but he’d gone already. I put on his jacket and started walking home feeling a little bit better. I got home and put his jacket on one of the chairs and then threw myself on the sofa. I lay there in the dark and drifted off to sleep.
Chapter 2[/u]
It had been a couple of days since me and Adam had split up, I was moving on with my life and getting on with things. I had been at work and decided to go into the coffee shop. I walked in and joined the queue to be served. I was standing there deciding what to have when I heard it. It was the guy from the park I looked round to see where he was. His voice seemed to be coming from the phone booth by the door. “Hi can I help you?” said the waitress behind the counter. “Oh yeh sorry, um just a coffee, please,” I replied still not knowing exactly what I wanted. I handed her the money and took my coffee and turned round to see the guy walk out the door. I quickly ran after him through the door. “Excuse me,” I shouted after him. He stopped and turned round to look at me. I stood there and looked at him, his blue eyes looked out under the ends of his brown fringe that came across his eyes, he had freckles all across his face, he was wearing low slung jeans and a blue t-shirt. He smiled at me, “yeh,” he said as I just carried on staring at him. “Oh um ok this my sound weird specially if your not the right guy, but where you at the park on Saturday nite?” I asked. “Um yeh I was actually,” he said slightly puzzled at the question. “Did you give your coat to some girl?” I asked again. “Um yeh,” he said still puzzled. “Well I have it at my house if you want it back?” I smiled. “Oh right, um yeh will save me buying another one,” he laughed. “Yeh well here’s my number if you just give me a call and drop by,” I said handing him a card. “Ok thanks, are you ok now?” he asked me. “Yeh great thanks,” I smiled. “Good,” he smiled back. “Sorry I really have to go, call me,” I said glancing at my watch. “Ok yeh will do,” he replied. “Bye,” I said and turned round and walked down the road. I glanced back over my shoulder to see him looking down at the card I had given him. He was so cute and was really hoping that he would call even if it was just to hear his voice, but then again I was hoping he wouldn’t after I had spilt my heart out to him which was slightly embarrassing.
